Responsible Use Policy

Effective date: September 28, 2025 | Last updated: September 28, 2025

Inputly simulates human-like typing to help people work, present, and test more comfortably and effectively. We built it for accessibility, productivity, live demonstrations, and QA/testing.

Allowed uses (examples)

  • Accessibility & ergonomics: reduce hand strain, RSI, or fatigue.
  • Presentations & education: teach or demo while Inputly types example code/notes.
  • QA & development: simulate realistic typing in forms and apps for testing.
  • Personal productivity: type previously prepared text into apps that don’t support paste workflows.

Prohibited uses

You may not use Inputly to:

  • Evade academic integrity policies or institutional rules (e.g., passing off prohibited assistance as your own work).
  • Commit fraud or misrepresentation (e.g., identity, financial, or employment-related deception).
  • Bypass security or detection mechanisms (e.g., anti-abuse, proctoring, or platform policy enforcement).
  • Violate any law, regulation, or contractual obligation.

Safety features & expectations

  • Secure-field protection: when enabled, Inputly avoids password/financial fields.
  • Panic stop & focus-change behavior: you can pause/stop instantly; we encourage safe defaults.
  • Disclosure: where appropriate (e.g., classroom, workplace), you should disclose assistive typing.

Your responsibility

You’re responsible for complying with the rules of your school, employer, or platform. If in doubt, ask for permission before using Inputly.
